Sermon Notes

The day that Jesus died on the cross, we was executed between two criminals, between two men that deserved the punishment they were experiencing, unlike Jesus.  One thief turned towards Jesus, one turned away … and we learn today that we are all one thief or the other, and only one of them heard the words, “Today I will see you in paradise.”

A red letter day is one that is marked by significance, by something that will be remembered and that will leave a lasting mark on the world around us. 2000 years ago, there was a red letter day like no other, when the fundamentals of this world were turned on their head. On that day, the One who changed everything cried out several powerful truths, and we can learn more than we can imagine from looking into them.
