Louder Than Words – Week 3 (James 2.1-13)
The letter of James (in the New Testament) shows one of the church's early pastors going about his work of confronting, diagnosing, and dealing with areas of misbelief & misbehavior that had turned up in congregations committed to his care. DEEP & LIVING WISDOM is the topic. Now WISDOM is not primarily knowing the truth, although it certainly includes that. It is also the skill of living out that truth. What good is TRUTH if we don't know how to live it out? And what good is INTENTION if we can't sustain it? Join Grace Family for this series of conversations... seeking God's WISDOM so our lives will become Louder Than Words.

One of the clearest teachings in the Bible is God's desire for humanity to be united and free from prejudice ... in fact, the Good News about Jesus is deeply concerned with the idea that He paid the price so that we could individually and corporately be restored to God and (through that) restored to one another.  Today we discuss this idea and how it should impact our lives.

How we live is the best indicator of what we truly believe, not necessarily what we say about our beliefs.  In essence, what we do is louder than our words.  As we begin exploring this ancient letter, we dive into the deep end of looking at the trials we face in this life and how our response to them declares who we're trusting to see us through these difficult times.

Let’s Talk About That! (Week 4 – The Problem of Grief)
Life is filled with questions. Some of those questions are hard to answer. Some of them are even hard to ask. Sometimes, there are questions that we think we’re not allowed to ask in a church. At Grace Family Church, we believe that church should be a safe place to discus any topic, from the bedroom to the bank account, so we’re chatting about some of these “touchy” subjects all month long in September. Invite your friends to be part of the dialogue!

The world we live in was designed to be a perfect place ... but that's not how things worked out.  In each of our worlds, we encounter pain, sorrow, loss, and heartache.  How can we navigate through the grief that seems to pervade every area of our lives?  Why does a loving God allow this pain to exist?  Join the discussion on the problem of grief today.

For Our Neighbors – Week 8 (Good News for All of Life)

If you've been to church at some point in your life, you've probably heard the term "gospel" at some point ... but what is this gospel? This summer, we'll be looking at the story of good news of that God illustrates throughout all of Scripture. We'll discover our own place in the gospel story and how to communicate it in powerful ways. We'll also look at how the Gospel has actually given us a new identity in Christ and how to live out the truth of this gospel identity in the normal rhythms of everyday life.

The good news that we've been talking about for two months as a church family is bigger than just a ticket to heaven - it's for all of life and has (or should have!) incredible impact on everything we do.  We conclude our message series today as Pastor Tim challenges us all to be For Our Neighbors in all of life.

For Our Neighbors – Week 3 (My Story)

If you've been to church at some point in your life, you've probably heard the term "gospel" at some point ... but what is this gospel? This summer, we'll be looking at the story of good news of that God illustrates throughout all of Scripture. We'll also look at how the Gospel has actually given us a new identity in Christ and how to live out the truth of this gospel identity in the normal rhythms of everyday life.

Last week we took a look at what has been called the grand meta-narrative of the Bible ... the big, over-arching story of what has happened in this world, what God has done & is doing, and how we can respond to it. This week, we discover that the most important part of THE story for each of us is MY story and how it fits in to what God has revealed to us.
