One of our central values is that God’s absolutes are absolutely good.  And this means that God is knowable … that He has revealed Himself to us in tangible ways, primarily in the person of Jesus Christ, specially in the recorded Scriptures we call the Bible, and evidenced throughout His creation.

When we gather together on Sundays, a major component is teaching from the Bible. We often utilize series or topics to present God’s truth, but the very words of the Bible are our truth and foundation.

Louder Than Words – Week 6 (James 4.1-17)
The letter of James (in the New Testament) shows one of the church's early pastors going about his work of confronting, diagnosing, and dealing with areas of misbelief & misbehavior that had turned up in congregations committed to his care. DEEP & LIVING WISDOM is the topic. Now WISDOM is not primarily knowing the truth, although it certainly includes that. It is also the skill of living out that truth. What good is TRUTH if we don't know how to live it out? And what good is INTENTION if we can't sustain it? Join Grace Family for this series of conversations... seeking God's WISDOM so our lives will become Louder Than Words.

We live in a broken world ... there is fighting and pain lingering in the corners all around or even shouting right in front of us.  God's people should form a community where this brokenness is resolved, but too often it creeps its way into what should be a haven and a sanctuary.  As we continue our Louder Than Words series this morning, we discuss the problem and the solution to this tragic circumstance.

We live in a world where we can say what we want to whoever we want whenever we want.  We are bombarded with the words of others (whether spoken or written) almost constantly - yet it seems that our words do much more to divide and wound each other than to bring us together.  We discuss the importance of what we do with our words and how wisdom must inform our speech as we continue in our Louder Than Words series this morning.

Belief & faith is central to the tenets of the Christian faith - and to the human condition as a whole!  However, beliefs are never really separated from our actions because what we do displays what we truly believe about anything.  We dig into that reality this morning as we continue the discussion in our Louder Than Words series.

One of the clearest teachings in the Bible is God's desire for humanity to be united and free from prejudice ... in fact, the Good News about Jesus is deeply concerned with the idea that He paid the price so that we could individually and corporately be restored to God and (through that) restored to one another.  Today we discuss this idea and how it should impact our lives.

How we live is the best indicator of what we truly believe, not necessarily what we say about our beliefs.  In essence, what we do is louder than our words.  As we begin exploring this ancient letter, we dive into the deep end of looking at the trials we face in this life and how our response to them declares who we're trusting to see us through these difficult times.

Let’s Talk About That! (Week 5 – Technology & Faith)
Life is filled with questions. Some of those questions are hard to answer. Some of them are even hard to ask. Sometimes, there are questions that we think we’re not allowed to ask in a church. At Grace Family Church, we believe that church should be a safe place to discus any topic, from the bedroom to the bank account, so we’re chatting about some of these “touchy” subjects all month long in September. Invite your friends to be part of the dialogue!
